A Haven From Modern Life

Haven Marina Resorts is a unique idea in the world of hospitality. Not only do we offer waterfront hospitality, our floating hotel concept provides guests with unprecedented proximity to the natural world, while giving up nothing in terms of creature comforts. We like to say that we close to the action, but removed from the mayhem of life at the Shore. We are a haven, designed for travelers, not tourists.

Travelers, Not Tourists

We cater to a different type of guest, the traveler, as opposed to the tourist. A tourist follows the herd, staying in the usual places and getting lured into the tourist traps. There’s nothing wrong with being a tourist. We’ve all been one. But once you have a little more experience, you learn that there are more interesting adventures to be had if you’re willing to get off the beaten path. That’s when you become a traveler.

What makes a guest a traveler, is a sense of curiosity and wonder for the world, an independent mentality that seeks out the authentic and original; adventurous spirits looking for memorable experiences rather than conspicuous consumption. These are our people. We offer an immersive experience that is truly unique, while being restorative and invigorating.

Transforming Marinas Into Resorts One Dock At A Time

The process of transforming aging marinas into marina resorts is one of patience, persistence, vision, and compassion. Our goal is to take existing marinas and redevelop them into havens of compassionate hospitality, which requires all of the above. We have a clear vision for what we want each marina to become, and that vision requires time, money, and a commitment to excellence.

Any Day On The Water Is A Good Day

We have a saying at Haven Marina Resorts, a little mantra of sorts, that helps to keep us in check and remind us of what’s important. It goes, “Any day on the water is a good day.” It might seem a bit elementary at first glance, an anodyne platitude without any deeper meaning or purpose, but we believe it’s a critical reminder to all who set foot on one of our properties, be they Guest or Crew. This is a gift.

Here at the marina, it’s been a busy off season with lots to be thankful for despite lots obstacles. That’s how it goes when you’re dealing with anything as unpredictable as nature. You do the best with the cards you’ve been dealt and thank your lucky stars for another chance to delight in a wondrous world.

Bidwell Creek Reopens

Last night, we offered slipholders, vendors, and a few friends a sneak preview of the newly renovated Ship’s Store at Bidwell Creek, a Haven Marina Resort. There was plenty of great food, courtesy of Green Room Catering, and many enjoyed a glass of wine or beer with an amazing view of the marina and the marsh beyond.
